My name is Victoria Cornelius and I am 30 years old. In 2016, I moved to Florida to pursue my dreams of teaching with Teach For America. I have been teaching 7th grade math these past four years and will be transitioning into teaching ESE (special education) this fall.

In March I found a lump in my left breast right as the COVID-19 pandemic began. It wasn't until July when I was able to go see a doctor. After a mammogram, sonogram and biopsy I was told that I have breast cancer. I do not know the stage as my team of doctors are still figuring this out. What we do know is I caught it early and after surgery I will know my plan of action.  As I await the verdict,  I need your help! 

In the past month, my medical bills have caused me to be financially burdened. I am scheduled to have a double mastectomy on August 6th. So far I have spent about $2,000 on doctor appointments and my double mastectomy surgery will be $3,000.

I can't fight this battle alone, any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep me in your prayers and God bless!
