On Sunday May 17, 2015 at approximately 1:25 am 23 yr old Joshua Stapleton was shot in the face and left for dead.
Those who know Joshua, know that he is a full time father of two beautiful kids and He always helped those around him.
Stapleton and his girlfriend got home from the club and walked into the robbery. They were both at the door to Stapleton's home when two African American men held them at gun point. They walked them inside into the master bedroom and insisted for Stapleton to open the safe. Stapleton was kicked and pistol whipped in the head repeatedly by one of the gun men, his girlfriend was being pulled by her hair and getting shoved with the pistol on her temple. When Stapleton finally opened the safe he felt the gunmen tightening the trigger, that split second he jumped back and was shot in the face! By the grace of God he survived a shot that was meant for his head. Stapleton laid on the floor and acted as he was dead. Meanwhile Stapleton is laying there fighting for his life the male who shot the gun cleaned out his safe taking all of his possession. They took cash, all electronics, all his clothes and shoes and even the tri colored puppy that Josh purchased for his sons 3rd bday. Once the robbers left, the ambulance was called immediately. Stapleton was rushed to Bayfront medical center where they performed plastic surgery on his face.
