Jae’s Medical Expenses

Hi friends. Jae is one of the best people you can find. An amazing father, husband, and employee. But he’s had a few years of bad luck. Multiple car accidents in 2019 resulted in years of legal battles with insurance companies, missed work, pain, and ongoing physical therapy. The insurance settlement was finalized a couple months back but didn’t cover the true costs. To make matters worse, Jae was hospitalized on Jan. 23rd after a ruptured appendix. After multiple surgeries and now two weeks at Intermountain Medical Center, the path ahead is still not certain. With Jae’s PTO already at a negative balance due to the events mentioned above, and the beginning of a high deductible insurance plan year, this has resulted in financial stress. Update on 2/6/2023: Everyone has been so generous. As of this afternoon, the fundraiser is at $5,125. THANK YOU! This is so much more than I expected. Jae's out-of-pocket Max is $7,000 so I've updated the goal to match. This has already made a huge difference and no one should feel obligated to donate more. But I'll keep the campaign open a bit longer in case anyone new wants to help out.
