Moving to Austin

As some (many!) of you know, I plan to move to Austin at the end of August. The reasons for this are many, but sum up primarily that Seattle is just too danged expensive for me. I am living paycheck to paycheck and barely managing even that. Austin, at least, is somewhere that I'd save at least $100/mo on rent alone... if not more! My job prospects there would also greatly improve, just at the brief glance I've made at the industries available.

Unfortunately, because of the fact that I've been living paycheck to paycheck, I have absolutely no savings. Banks won't give me a loan (I've been trying; I get turned down due to my poor credit and/or the fact that I am living on such tight funds). My current lease is up on August 21st and while I had hoped my current roommate would stick around when it goes month-to-month for a few months so I could try to scrape together some cash, she's planning to jet on ASAP. I doubt I'll find someone to pay her half of the rent for just a few months and I can't lock myself into another year out here. 

So that's where you folks come in. Please help me out. Every little bit will help. Your contributions will go to such things as:

- Security deposit on a new apartment.
- Moving truck rental.
- Gas money on the drive!
- Neccessities for the new apartment (I actually do not own plates or silverware of my own).
- Motel stays on the drive down (I've got crash space for 2 of the 3-4 nights).

I doubt there will be anything left over based on what I've calculated, but anything that is will go into saving towards a car as I've been told it's tricky to live in Austin without one.
