Daniel’s fight to recovery

Hello everyone, my name is Elisa, and for those of you who don’t know, my husband, my partner, my best friend, and father of our two wonderful boys Daniel, was tragically hurt in a freak accident on June 23, 2024. Daniel suffered a traumatic brain injury, and ending up with needing a full re-construction on his face, and has been battling being blind. He is facing a very long road to recovery. Daniel has beaten not just his own odds, but odds in general, and is a very unique case. He is such a miracle, his existence is very cherished, and he is very loved! He is such a firecracker, with a will to live beyond any I’ve ever seen in my entire life! For the past 177 days, Daniel has been in and out of the hospital. Currently he is at a great acute hospital/rehab facility in Denver, where he is finally getting proper rehab and progressing every day! Daniel was the RGM for the Alamosa Pizza Hut, where he devoted his life to running that place for the past three years. He did it with such pride too, and only ever wanted to continue to be all he could be. He loved what he did.

Daniels heart of gold, makes him an awesome father and he always goes the extra mile for anything important to him. His work ethic is out of this world.

With the accident happening, and being his next of kin and guardian and potentially a single mom, I have been by his side almost every day until school resumed. I could not take back responsibility of my job, and sadly I was terminated from it. His place of employment has finally given us the final word, as his termination is coming up. I do work but I am a server in small town, where I’m barely getting by. We both worked our butts off to provide for our boys. And unfortunately that dream was cut short for us for now. Our faith is strong, and with the lord in our lives, I know that this storm shall pass. Daniel and I have never been one to reach out for help, but we are always quick to donate whenever we can. Right now, I am sitting at a quarter of a million dollars in hospital bills alone. Regular Bills they take up everything I bring in and plus some. The burden this places on me, is exhausting but I try my best!

Above all I am asking for prayers, but I am also asking for any help that anyone would be willing to give. Any and all help is a blessing. If you simply cannot donate, please just keep Daniel and my boys and our family in your prayers, and share this if you simply do not mind. Any and all help will go towards bills, traveling four hours away to see him, and will also help tremendously lift the heaviness of the new life we are living. We truly and deeply thank you all for your support and taking time to read this, and keeping him in good spirits and in all of the prayers! The lord is a miracle worker and I believe he has been the biggest piece of love in this all, protecting and guiding Daniel every step of the way, every single day. From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for the gift of life for him and for us all, and all of you kind souls.
