Help Teresa Beat Breast Cancer!

Hello community, friends, and family, my name is Anna. I am making this GoFundMe on behalf of my beautiful and loving mother, owner of TC Mailbox Center, Teresa Wagner and her fight against breast cancer. Those who know her, know that she has the biggest heart, fighting spirit, and strong soul. This has been incredibly difficult and painful in so many ways, yet Teresa keeps a smile on her face, her spirits high, and continues to love and serve her community and family. During this time not only has she faced numerous medical complications, painful procedures, and emotional decisions, she has also dealt with bullies, and continued to run her small business. Despite all of this, she is still a supportive mother, loving wife, avid gardener, wonderful friend, dedicated business owner and much more. Even when she is in pain, she still serves her community through her store and Notary business, and shows up for me as a mother selflessly, endlessly. Her strength and perseverance through all of this is inspiring to me and everyone around her, and I hope this small thing can help her. I am asking for donations to help support my Mom through this and take some financial burden off her shoulders. She carries so much already, anything helps. As we all know, medical bills, gas traveling to appointments, not being able to work, all add huge financial burden to an already difficult time. She is still in the early stages of treatment and things are likely going to get harder and more expensive from here. At a time when being a small business owner is already difficult, the financial stress is even more pressing. Please if you are able, consider donating any amount.

Every bit of kindness and support is appreciated during this time. Things are very challenging but we are so thankful for your love and support of Teresa. Friends, family, strangers, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I thank God for making my Mom so strong and brave, and lending her the strength and love to get through this.

Some more information about my mother's breast cancer and treatment. She was diagnosed in May with Invasive ductal carcinoma, ERPR-HER2+ 3cm with nodes stage 2. The plan was chemotherapy and then surgery. So the port for chemo was placed in April. However she was unable to start chemo due to a shortage of one of the key medications involved. Instead they opted for surgery first. In June she had a mastectomy and implant on the right with the removal of 7 Lymph nodes, 3 cancerous. Chemotherapy began in July, but was delayed again when she had a bad reaction to the treatment and extremely low sodium levels. In August she had a second surgery to remove Seroma and now dealing with Lymphedema. Chemo continues on schedule now, she just has to be very on top of her sodium intake. 

Update; chemo began to affect my mother’s heart and her and the doctors agreed to stop chemotherapy one session early. Thankfully her heart has since healed and is working healthily! Chemo will not continue but other treatments will. This will be a long road and not an easy one but Teresa is pushing through impressively despite the initial complications and challenges. There will be many more decisions to make as far as treatment down the road. For now she is doing her best to enjoy every good moment and weather the bad ones.

Update from Teresa:

I will be doing radiation for 5 days a week for 5 weeks. This was something I really did not want to do. I've had some time to recover mentally and physically from the effects of chemo, and that has helped me feel better about this choice to continue the fight for my life. I will also need to keep my Port for another 18 months of immunotherapy treatments every 3 weeks. Please continue to keep us in your prayers for peace and complete healing.
