Support Carlos’ Recovery

I'm raising funds on behalf of my brother, Carlos Maldonado, and his family. Earlier this month, my brother suddenly lost the ability to walk and move his arms. Since the beginning of April, he has been in and out of hospital visits. His doctors have officially diagnosed him with Guillain-Barré syndrome and have told him that he will not be able to fully walk or move his arms for the next six to twelve months. Until doctors notice movement in his arms and legs again, he has to remain in the hospital. When significant movement in his body returns, the doctors are transferring him over to another medical facility for the remainder of his recovery to ensure full recovery and movement of his body again.

Having lost a main stream of income in their household, my brother and his family are under a lot of financial stress. The money I am fundraising will not only go directly to his costly medical bills, but they will also help sustain his family and ensure they can afford the cost of everyday necessities such as food and rent. Estoy recaudando fondos en nombre de mi hermano Carlos Maldonado y su familia. A principios de este mes, mi hermano a perdido la habilidad de caminar y mover los brazos. Desde principios de April ha estado hospitalizado. Sus médicos le han diagnosticado con el síndrome de Guillain-Barré y le han dicho que no podrá caminar ni mover los brazos por completo durante los próximos seis a doce meses.
