Selina Chan Smith, beloved mother, sister, and great friend to many was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in November of 2015. Selina is a single mother and working as a realtor for Crye-Leike. In October of 2015 she went to see her doctor for several month of back pain that progressively got more painful . The doctor took an x-ray and found possible cancel cells. Selina's oncologist confirmed it was cancer and had spread to her brain, spine, rib, and multiple other areas. She had gone through many radiation treatments and chemo drugs.

Recently this month the oncologist said they cannot treat Selina anymore because she is so weak and the treatment so aggressive. They recommend signing up with a hospice service and keep her as comfortable as possible. They recommend to have someone with her around the clock. We did so and also hired caregiver service which is not covered by the insurance.

She is currently on morphine and a highly potent opioid called Fentanyl. She is bedridden and have memory problems. Her judgment is also cloudy.

Selina does not have much savings and the cost of caregiving, medical copay, and funeral cost are way beyond her. Up to now the family has been taking care of her insurance premium and many other bills. We started this fundraiser to get some help. Thank you for your support.
