On May 14, 2024, our charming Casey Him, my beloved partner, was diagnosed with stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. This is after surviving Hodgkin's Lymphoma 20 years ago. He is a fighter with a heart of gold and has too much planned for us.

A staple in Portland’s motorcycle community, Casey has been building and fixing our motorcycles since he opened G & H Cycles in the SE Brooklyn neighborhood back in 2009. If you see a vintage bike cruising through town, chances are that it's thanks to him.

He has since done countless side jobs, helped at other shops, and is currently working at Sabatino Moto Royal Enfield dealership in St Johns as the service manager.

Casey has already had 2 surgeries, multiple screenings, and several other appointments since May. He now has a long battle ahead of him with 1 round of chemo, then a round of chemo with radiation, and then more surgery.

As determined as Casey has been about working through this, he has already missed a considerable amount of work. Moving forward, the treatments he is facing could be harsh enough to keep him down for days at a time, despite his best efforts.

Your donations will go towards living expenses not being covered from loss of work and help him take the actual time needed for the best results in his recovery. It will also cover any medical expenses including our out-of-pocket deductible, medications, and doctor visits. It will also help with nutritious meals and dietary supplements to support the recovery process and any other unforeseen expenses stemming from cancer treatment and care.
