I created this fundraiser for Nina and her family as they navigate an incredibly difficult journey following her cancer diagnosis. As many of you know, Nina and her husband Tyler care deeply for their community and are always willing to show up for others. So, as they move through this difficult season of life, let’s come together to support them and their family and help lighten some of the challenges ahead.

Rather than tell her story myself, I’d like to share a message from her husband, Tyler.

Back in December, my wife found a lump in her breast. The next couple of months she would go through multiple appointments, scans, biopsies, second opinions, etc. After extensive testing, she was diagnosed with Stage 2/3 Triple Positive Breast Cancer, an aggressive form of breast cancer that requires targeted treatment.

She is currently undergoing 12 weeks of chemotherapy along with immunotherapy that will last a year. Once chemotherapy is completed, she will go into surgery and have a long recovery process. We’re unsure of the extent of the surgery at this point. We will know more once chemotherapy is complete.

Needless to say, this has taken a huge physical, emotional, and financial toll on our family. Because of her treatment, she is unable to work and our family will be relying on my income alone. As the sole provider, I am doing everything I can to keep our household running while also supporting my wife through treatment and caring for our family and running a small business.

We are organizing this benefit to help ease some of that burden and allow our family to focus on what’s most important: Nina’s healing and recovery. Any funds will be used towards loss of income, medical expenses not covered thru insurance, post surgery recovery, childcare costs, and any future costs that come up throughout this journey.

We want to thank our friends, family, and community that have helped and kept us in their thoughts and prayers thus far. Any support moving forward, whether through donation or sharing our story means the world to us.
