Help Support Frank’s Recovery
On May 8th, our longtime bartender and friend, Frank, didn’t show up for work—a first in over 10 years. Anyone who knows Frank knows how dedicated, reliable, and passionate he is about his work, his friends, and his community. Concerned, several of the PCB crew went to check on him.
Frank was discovered unconscious in his home and was rushed to Upstate Hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU. He had suffered from an arteriovenous malformation, also known as an AVM—a life-threatening condition. He spent over a month in intensive care fighting to stay with us.
Last week, Frank was finally stable enough to move to a rehabilitation facility, where he’ll stay for the coming weeks before transitioning home to complete his recovery.
Frank isn’t just our co-worker—he’s family. He’s a craft beer enthusiast, a foodie through and through, a Goose and jam band devotee, and a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. His presence behind the bar brought warmth, quick wit, and killer recommendations to everyone who walked through our doors.
While Frank does have health insurance and some income, it won’t come close to covering the enormous medical expenses and everyday essentials during recovery.
We’re asking the community, near and far, to help us rally around Frank. If you can give anything—no matter how small—it will go directly to helping him get through this chapter with the support he deserves.
Let’s help get Frank back on his feet, back to the bar, to a Bill's game this winter, and back to the life he loves. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
