Support a Single Mom and Her Two Sons
Donation protected
Yesterday, my husband—a police officer of 15 years—came home deeply shaken. In all his years on the job, through heartbreaking cases of violence, abuse, and tragedy, this one touched him more than most.
He met a single mother living in her car with her two sons—one, 14 years old with severe autism, and the other just 7 years old. They had their two pet cats with them, and in the blistering 100° heat, the boys had no proper clothing or shoes. The family had lost their home just a week before and was now on the brink of losing their car as well.
The mother, at the end of her rope, was prepared to turn herself in so that her children could be placed in CPS care—believing it was the only way for them to have a safe place to sleep.
I couldn't sleep that night. I prayed for them, and I knew I had to act. I didn't know what I could do, but I just felt compelled to do something.
Right now, while many of us are preparing our kids for a new school year, this mom is simply trying to find shelter, safety, and basic necessities for her children.
We can't change the past week of hardship for this family, but together, we can change the weeks ahead.
Your donation will go directly toward:
• Securing safe housing
• Clothing and shoes for the boys
• Food and basic necessities
• Back-to-school essentials
Even the smallest gift can be a lifeline. Let's show this mom and her children that their community sees them, cares for them, and believes in their future.
Please share and help us bring hope to this family in crisis.
