We have entered an era in this world in which the value of technology cannot be stressed enough. From a young age, I have noticed the gap in the education system of many governments regulated schools in Nepal. The increase in the use of technology in today's world has had a huge impact on our way of learning. We have started applying more and more technology into our classrooms, laptops, and smart projection boards. While some students take all these computers for granted, many students still even consider having a textbook a luxury. With a literacy rate as low as 63%, many students are not being provided the basic necessities for a strong education. It’s not fair that these students can’t have the same opportunities for learning just because they can’t afford computer technology. Students have smalls jobs to ensure that have a small income keeps flowing through for their families. The division between them and the privileged students increases everyday, help me stop this.
Mahendra school is one of the government regulated school in Biratnagar, Nepal. This year they plan on adding an additional 11th and 12th grade to the school. They do not have computers or a computer class in their school. This is the first time that they will be receiving the help of any kind from anyone. It only takes 500$ for one computer, for a class of 20 to 25 students. To install a library for the students, pay for the computer teacher and addition of repairs that are needed for the school's structure which will total of 6000$.
The Purpose Project is a project driven to provide schools with a very effective and sustainable way to enhance computer literacy as well as an interactive learning experience for the students. We work with the local nonprofit organizations such as the Lions Club to implement, monitor and evaluate the project for optimal impact on the schools. This project will initiate from March to April. The project will continue as fundings increase for the schools.

With this, I am asking for your help! As a college student who is driven to make an impact, a monetary donation of any size will help to cover the cost of bringing a purpose into a child's life in Nepal. New updates along with pictures will be made as we progress further into the project. Your help in this cause will leave me forever grateful for your contribution. Together, we can, we will make this world a better place.
