PBC School Police K-9 Team

The K-9 Club was established in January, 2015, to assist the Palm Beach County School District Police Department in the purchase and sustainability of K-9 Officers.  Our most valuable assets are our children and officers are tasked with ensuring their safety and security on a daily basis.  We are seeking assistance with funding to purchase highly trained dogs that specialize in detecting narcotics, explosives, and even weapons.  These dogs also help open a line of communication between students and police officers.  Each dog costs between $7,000 and $8,000 which includes training for the life of the K-9 Officer.  In addition, specialized vehicles must be purchased to transport the K-9 Officers.  The infrastructure is in place to receive the dogs and get them to work.  Any assistance you can provide in our effort to secure funding would be greatly appreciated.  Whether a large or small amount, we are grateful.
