This fundraiser is for Baljit Singh, an honest, hardworking, kind, and loving man who tragically passed away on the night of September 28th, 2022, he was 45 years old. He left behind a loving wife, a beautiful 2-year-old daughter and an elderly mother. Baljit worked the graveyard shift at a 7-Eleven in Sacramento for the past six years and had recently moved into an apartment down the street from the store. He was walking to work when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road. He succumbed to his injuries and did not make it until help arrived.

Baljit was born on May 13th, 1977, in Punjab, India. His father passed away at a very young age, and he was raised most of his life by his aunt and uncle. He had a great work ethic and wanted to make a better life for himself, which he knew would be difficult in Punjab. So he set off to Greece hoping for a brighter future, and worked hard to make himself a living. After five years in Greece, he moved to the US and began to live with his aunt and uncle. He had migrated to the United States because of the better opportunities here and worked seven days a week to earn a living and send money back to his wife, mother and daughter in India. His dream was to build a life for himself, his wife, and his daughter. His wife and daughter were due to get their visas within the next couple of months, and they would finally be here with him to complete that dream.

We want to help raise the most funds we can to help pay for his funeral services and support his wife, daughter, and mother back in India, who lost their only source of income for their family.
