Cynthia was a vibrant healthy 73 year old until June 19 when she suffered a brain bleed causing paralysis of her right side. During that time it was discovered that her heart is only functioning between 20-25%.

She spent over a month in the hospital recovering and learning to walk and feed herself all over again.

Upon her release her therapy hasn't stopped, however, neither has her bills. While Medicare is covering her occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and nurses, it's not been easy covering the cost of all her medications and everyday bills. The cost of her entresto was covered by her social security check leaving her short on rent. Her medical bills from the rehabilitation hospital stay are coming in and she's become worried about losing her place to stay. Her worry is causing her to lose her ambition and drive to get back to her normal activities. She spends hours on end sitting in her wheelchair watching TV until I or one of the therapist arrive to get her out of the wheelchair and walking.

She misses going to church, out with her friends and just being able to to jump up and go. All she thinks about is becoming homeless now and wanting to give up.
