Help send Shaienne to Stanford
Donation protected
Hello,
My daughter, Shaienne (aka Shai) is currently a Junior at Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) in San Francisco and is an aspiring doctor. Shai has spent her entire life around doctors, nurses, surgeons, psychologists, etc., because of my 25 + years working in the medical field. Becoming a doctor has been a passion of hers for a great portion of her young life, and she is hoping to attend an HBCU for medical school. She has overcome some great adversities in her young life and is one of the strongest young women that I know. She feels compelled to make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate, is goal oriented, confident, caring, intelligent and determined to make a change in the world.
Shai was recently invited to attend an Advanced Emergency Medicine program at Stanford University for 10 days. This is a phenomenal opportunity, but a very expensive one ($6000+), and as a single parent I simply cannot afford it.
Some of the things that this amazing opportunity will provide are: basic life support and emergency training, world class instruction from Stanford University School of Medicine's professors, college credits, and a birds eye view of what it will be like to be a medical student.
We are asking for your help to send Shai to Stanford this summer for this opportunity of a lifetime.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
