Emma Morris' fight for survival

Emma Morris works at MBNA in Chester within the Credit Operations Unit as an Underwriter.  Following a period of ill-health for a number of months during 2014, it was confirmed that she had a tumour around one of her ovaries which has subsequently been removed. Following this surgery, specialists completed some further investigations which concluded that she has had terminal liver cancer. Emma has been given a life expectancy of 1-2 years. Clearly her’s, her family’s and friend’s worlds have been turned upside down with this devastating news and everyone is finding it hard to come to terms with this.

Emma Morris started working for MBNA in January 2000 at the age of 25. She has completed a number of roles within the bank including a Credit Underwriter, Risk Account Closure Analyst and Quality Assurance.  With everything that she has faced over the past 12 months, Emma has clearly not been in work since early 2014. 

Emma has two children, Thea who is 8 and Oliver who is 4 and lives with her partner Andy. Emma is known by her work colleagues and friends to be caring, considerate, kind and fun. One Credit associate can remember Emma bringing her a homemade roast dinner to work for her lunch on her birthday!!!

We want to raise as much money as possible so that Emma and her family can go on a dream holiday that will be filled with memories that they will all treasure for a long time.
