Ally's Recovery
Donation protected
We are a group of friends that share some things in common. Living outside our home countries and being far away from our families is one of these few things that has brought us together and made us become a family, a village.
Today, one of us, our warrior friend Maria Alejandra (Ally) is going through a hard time.
Ally who went through a very difficult and sad divorce 3 years ago, now is single mum of 3 beautiful boys (10, 8 & 5 years old) is going through a terrible medical situation.
One year ago she was diagnosed with Conn's Syndrome or Primary Aldosteronism.
Since then she has suffered 3 pre cardiacs arrests, including 1 resuscitation.
Ally has had to endure this rough patch and remain strong for her kids: emotionally, psychologically, financially and even physically. She had to stopped working when she was diagnosed as per the Doctor’s instructions so she can have a very quiet and calm life to minimise the risks of having more cardiac arrests, strokes or even dying.
Despite her physical condition, she has been taking care of her 3 kids on her own and support them not just at school, but also socially and in extra curricular activities because she wants those 3 amazing boys to have a normal life as possible.
The doctors provided her a glimmer of hope to improve Ally’s health and allow her to regain some peace of mind in her life. For this, it was necessary to have surgery.
This past Tuesday, June 13th, Ally went under surgery to remove the tumor on one of her adrenal glands and hoping the other gland starts working again. Thank God everything went well and she's on her way to recovery.
Unfortunately, because of her condition she was forced to leave her job, a job that took her time and effort to get. A job that filled her with happiness and provided her with financial support. In that job, Ally helped people with disabilities, mental health problems and also the elderly.
Ally has had to spent most of her savings surviving this process.
Life is so beautiful and today we join to help her. We decided to organise a fund to help Ally and her 3 boys for the next 3 months so she can recover and start working again.
We are very thankful and appreciate every donation.
She’s not alone, she’s got a village!
Together we can make it happen!
