Can you help Savannah return to NCA

I ran across John MacArthur's helpful article while researching 'practical ways' to best "bear one another's burdens" as believers according to our command in Galatians 6:2 ! I feel this is precisely why the body of Christ is so important as it is our privilege to help when a fellow Christian staggers, we help steady the load. If he or she is straining, we get to help bear their burdens according to not only Galatians 6:2 but also in
Galatians 6:10 which urges us -
"So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."

Between discovering this nifty funding page & stumbling across these scriptural reminders both have lifted my hopes Heavenward & my prayers higher for my good friends Misty Santos & Erik Astheimer's daughter Savannah....who happens to also be like my second daughter as she is our daughter Addy's BFF as they've grown so close through their years together at their Christian Academy!

I also know full well how the troubles of this world are manifold and relentless. It’s not easy to stay so focused on heaven that we remain unperturbed by the afflictions of earthly life. We’re commanded, of course, to set our minds on things above, not on earthly things (Col. 3:2), but even the most committed believer will testify that earthly trials sometimes obscure the higher heavenly perspective....

And yet we are still urged repeatedly to “seek the things that are above” (Col. 3:1). We are instructed to “look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen” (2 Cor. 4:18). We must not allow the burdens of this life to divert our hearts from obeying heaven.

Of course, that concept is contrary to the drift of our culture, with secular society’s tendency to foster self-absorption. over sacrificial giving to those in need....  as a result, we don’t get to bear one another’s burdens as we should.  Yet Paul in Galatians 5:14 reminds us "The whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

So I would like to inform you of the dilemma my good friends in the faith are facing with their daughter Savannah's remaining tuition balance....it must be paid to ensure she can return to her beloved Neuse Christian Academy in the Fall! I humbly ask for your prayers & consideration of donating to this worthy cause if you feel so led....

As it's been a struggle for them once her parents divorced in 2013 & Savannah's Dad moved to Idaho, Due to unforeseen financial difficulties with child support there is a $2,000 remaining balance that must be paid within the next two months. Her Mother is working as hard as she can but doesn't see how its possible that she can somehow come up with that kind of money in such a short time to ensure her Savannah is able to stay at Neuse Christian school to continue to benefit her education and her spiritual growth.

Savannah continuing at Neuse is one of the most important things to her....
When Savannah was in 6th grade at East Milbrook public school she came home one day and said "Mom, please homeschool me next year.' She told me that she hated being in that school where kids were always saying and doing bad things and the teachers couldn't or wouldn't do anything about it.

Her Mom did homeschool her for 7th grade and then she got the opportunity to go to Neuse Christian Academy for 8 - 10 grades where Savannah has flourished and
gets to use and grow her God given talents! She's been a cheerleader. a member of the drama department, a National Honor Society Member, a chorus member and a Homecoming Court representative.

It breaks her Mom's heart to think she may not be able to return next year. She can't imagine how devastated Savannah would be or how yet another major loss or life change would affect her. She loves Neuse and her Neuse family & all her true friends their who spur her on in her faith & to use her gifts to bring glory to God!

As they've been praying over this constantly and seeking counsel the idea of a fundraiser was mentioned which they had not thought of until now ....her Dad has assured them that he has her tuition funds for next year worked out and will take care of it for Savannah'.

Come what may.....Romans 8:28 keeps coming to mind in this situation. They know that whatever will happen regarding Savannah's education that God is in control and will use it for His glory. This family would be so grateful & appreciative to anyone who feels led to pray and/or make a contribution towards their goal!!
