Hello! My name is Louie River Williams, 30-year-old trans masculine person, poet and boat boy raising money for TOP SURGERY!.

By donating to this fundraiser, you are directly helping me to drastically improve my quality of life. Getting top surgery will help me to finally feel comfortable in my body, and get on with my life, with all the beautiful, difficult, magical complexities that we all experience.

The current wait time for an initial NHS appointment is six years and five months, meaning I would be 36 before I get to even talk about getting top surgery. As a person living day to day with extremely high levels of chest dysphoria, waiting this long for essential, gender affirming surgery is just not possible. The mental strain and physical effects (skin blistering and long-term effects of repeatedly using binding tape etc.) are just too much. I need to have top surgery as soon as possible.

SO! I’m taking matters into my own hands, raising the £11,580 to cover the cost of going private for top surgery (estimated cost breakdown at the bottom).
