On October 30, 2022, we had to take my wife, Jessica, to Providence Hospital for what we believed to be a very bad case of the flu. After many tests and other medical treatments, it was determined that she had Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). It attacked her body fast and hard, especially her muscles. This infection has caused many problems in her otherwise healthy body. It is going to take many weeks of recovery as we are still in the hospital going into our fourth week. The infection finally appears to be gone, and we have gotten all the negative tests to move forward and begin leaving the hospital.

She has spent the last four weeks in the hospital bed, only being able to get out of bed for a few minutes at a time with the help of the physical therapy team(this just began this past week). We have had several MRIs, CT Scans, blood tests multiple times a day and many other tests and treatments.

Due to the infection and damage to her body, she will go straight from the hospital to in-patient rehabilitation to continue physical therapy to regain strength in her body so that she can resume everyday life. She is ready to be home with me (Bradley), our dog Bear and cats Chevelle and Rey. It will take some time, as we are expected to be in rehab for several weeks.

Some things may never be the same moving forward in life, even after rehab, due to the damage done to the body from the infection.

I can't even begin to explain how tough this has been on us and our family.

I am asking you if you can help out in any way with a few dollars so that we can manage the costs of hospital and rehab stays. It would be greatly apperieceted. Even with having good insurance, the price associated with everything and deductibles is very high. We do not have enough to take care of all the expenses related to this unexpected illness.

We will also have to make several accommodations at our home to be able to do everyday things. We will need to add railings outside the home and bathroom to assist in those daily needs. We will also have Home Health every day and treatments of antibiotics for several weeks as well.
