In need of urgent help

Hi my name is Jennie, I never thought in my whole life that my family and I would be in the situation that we are in right now. It’s hard for me to even ask for help let alone put my business out for everyone to view. My family needs help so we can get out of our current home that is swamped by toxic mold.

for the past years my daughter has suffered from swollen lymph nodes even had her tonsils removed as we thought that this was the case why her lymph nodes were always inflamed. She had them removed back in October of 2022 she recovered well and mid November here comes the lymph nodes swollen and bigger than ever we we’re definitely concerned and went to our family doctor, he placed orders for ultrasounds, CT’s and now he will be sending my daughter to ENT for a biopsy. He also order lab work specifically a mold panel and sure enough the blood work showed positive for high levels of mold. At the end of December I reported the results to our property management and requested they order a mold inspection. They got back to me weeks later after asking them multiple times and finally got someone to come out and do the mold inspection. The gentlemen named Jason said that it definitely showed positive for mold and he said if we wanted a copy of results that we had to request it from our property management as they paid for it. I asked them again multiple times and they kept giving me the run around that they had to ask the landlord. I finally asked again and said that I know it’s positive for mold as the mold inspector told us the day of inspection, I just want a copy of the report to know what kind of mold we are dealing with so we can show our family doctor and help my daughter and family get back to better health or if not I can take this to legal matters. Property management quickly responded and sent me over a copy of the mold results with the copy they also sent over a 60-day notice to terminate tenancy. My husband and I were in shock to hear such news as we are good tenants and have been at our rental for 8 years, instead of fixing the problem they just want to push us out and ignore the problem.

This is we’re we are asking for help. My husband just started his new job at UCDavis, we found a rental but don’t have enough to cover rent and deposit with just my check alone. Please share and help us get out of this toxic mold that is unhealthy for me and my family. We appreciate your time and help.
