Amy and her family were part of the victims of the terrible rain storm this past weekend (3/12/16) which flooded their home in Ponchatoula, LA. Her and her husband Chris Collura (a dedicated fulltime fireman) are very hard working people. These are also two of the most generous people I know who are always giving of their time and help others in any way they can without hesitation. Unfortunately, they did not have flood insurance on their home which was completely flooded when the nearby creek crested into the neighborhood with minimal warning.  All of their funiture absorbed the water to become very unsavable and damaged. The walls completely soaked up the water halfway up the walls to need to be completely taken out including cabinets. Needless to say the devastation has overwhelmed them emotionally and financially. I know this family has a hard time asking others for help so I have taken it upon myself to do it for them and ask if anyone could please reach out to them with any amount of a donation to help two caring people get back on their feet. Any funds of course will go to replacing the sheetrock, flooring, cabinets, furniture and just getting their home back to a living place that can feel like the "home sweet home" they once knew.
