Every season Milwaukee Lutheran High School's football program organizes a retreat to Concorida University-Wisconsin to kick off the season. They spend two and a half days at the University where they don't have to think about school, work or anything but football, friends and Jesus.
Concordia provides three meals a day and all of the housing.
This important time of the season obviously comes with a cost. The players spend several hours of their own time throughout the offseason raising money for the program, but it is not always enough.
Many of the kids have to work to provide for their own families instead of spending it on extracurricular activities. The last thing we want is a kid to tell us he can't play because he can't afford it.
That is the purpose of this fundraiser.
Today, I turned 30-years-old. I've been associated with this program for more than half of my life: four years as a player and nine seasons as a coach and a a fan in between. It is my turn to give back to the program who has given so much to me.
Life is not about what people can do for you but what you can do for OTHERS. These kids need our help and I am asking you for it.
In honor of my 30th birthday, I am asking you to donate any amount of money towards the program; every dollar counts.
Approxiamately $75 covers the full cost for one student-athlete for the retreat. There is roughly between 45 and 50 players who attend.
If 100 people donate $30 it gets us to 80% of my goal.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to provide a memorable experience to these student-athletes.
