Hello, our names are Alyssa and Amanda. On Friday May 5th, 2023 we unexpectedly lost the light of our life, our mom, Kim Japuntich. Mom was our rock, and our best friend. She lived life to the fullest, and was the most selfless person we have known.
Mom was born in Waukegan, and graduated from Waukegan high school in 1979. She was an amazing tennis player and made sure to let everyone know. She proudly worked as a dispatcher for the Waukegan police department for years. Later she worked for Baxter and loved her job. Her real dream job was when she had me and my sister, the two loves of her life. She was a superhero, a single parent who did it all. She went above and beyond for us all the time. We have never met a more hard working, amazing person.
While raising us she got her CNA certification and she was so proud to be able to help people. She also worked as a registrar in order to make ends meet for her family. As long as her family was taken care of, she was happy.
Mom was the most selfless person we know. She helped everyone she could. Whether it was monetary help, giving someone food or just making sure they were safe.
Let’s not forget, Mom loved her Quonset and her Coca Cola. That’s what she was known for.
She had respect for her country, the police force, the armed forces and veterans alike. She was so proud to be a true patriot.
We are trying to raise funds to help cover any costs with cremation, funeral home expenses and finding her final resting place. She loved every one and deserves the very best. She deserves a proper resting place. She deserves all the respect in the world.
Please help us honor her last wishes.
We love you and miss you Mom.
