My Fight Against Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer
Donation protected
I am Manisha Shrestha Dangol. Presently, I'm confronting Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, which has spread to my lungs and brain. Despite the arduous journey, I am resolute in my determination to combat this illness with unwavering resolve. Currently, I am receiving intensive care at Dallas UT Southwestern Medical Center since February 26, 2024. The initial three radiation therapy sessions targeting a brain tumor have proven successful, with two more sessions pending.
My battle began with a diagnosis of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer in June 2023. Since then, it has progressed to Stage 4, with the cancer metastasizing to distant organs and lymph nodes, notably my lungs. Following the guidance of Onco Doctors, I commenced carbo/gem chemotherapy in June 2023. However, after undergoing 14 rounds of chemotherapy and numerous CT scans, the progression of lung metastasis necessitated a switch to oral medication in December 2023.
During an ER visit from February 12 to February 15, 2024, at Dallas UT Southwestern, CT scans revealed metastatic cancer from the left breast affecting my brain, significantly impacting my daily activities such as walking and sleeping, among others.
Despite the challenges, I aspire for my journey to serve as a beacon of awareness and inspiration for others. Your support is invaluable to me. The funds raised will aid in covering excess medical expenses, including supplements, medications, and specialized treatments at the medical center.
The specialized care offered at this center, renowned for its pioneering treatments, instills me with the strength to persevere and the hope for victory over this formidable foe. Your consideration in reading my story and contributing to this cause is deeply appreciated. I urge you to consider donating and sharing this campaign to collectively make a meaningful difference.
With heartfelt gratitude,
