Dissertation Project

Hi! My name is Lucy and I'm asking for help in supporting my dissertation project. It's an unconventional (maybe more conventional these days?) way of asking for help but it was suggested to me by a colleague/friend so I thought I'd try it.
For my dissertation, I'm designing and building a solution to be used in electric racing as a way to combat temperature related failures on track, and maintain optimal operational windows for longer. The cabinet will also be used as a charging bay for the batteries, creating a dual use.
I chose this as my project as I currently work with FAT Karting as an event electrical engineer and noticed it's something this aspect of the karting industry is lacking as a whole. It has other potential industries for use too such as production facilities using automated transport systems like those used by Porsche and BMW. It also opens up the possibilities within electric karting to allow for options like endurance racing and expansion into more extreme climates.
As part of my project, I need to do some track running to compare the effectiveness in a real world environment. I do plan on running some dyno simulations too, but as accurate to life as possible is always better in my opinion. Any funds raised will go towards covering the cost of track hire as well as other build costs associated with the project. I'll keep those updated and listed below to be as transparent as possible. I'm also super happy to answer questions people may have without potentially damaging the project as best I can!
Current Costs:
Track Hire Day 1 - £550
Track Hire Day 2 - £550
Build Costs - £200
