My name is Reem S, a university graduate with a major in Business Administration in English from Gaza. I am over thirty and have been unable to find job opportunities due to the economic conditions and high unemployment rates in Gaza. I've never relied on anyone or let circumstances hinder my aspirations. Due to my passion for Palestinian embroidery and my background in business administration, I decided to start my own business. I embroider various pieces of Palestinian embroidery and sell them through my social media page "Naqsha" for Palestinian embroidery. See the link.
It was a dream that became a reality on 28/2/2018. Initially, I embroidered as a hobby, and with the support of friends, it became a profession. I started my own project from my room, embroidering different pieces and shipping them worldwide. My heart fluttered with every piece I embroidered and sent to a new country. I felt proud when I received expressions of gratitude for my embroidery.
My embroideries reached many countries, including the USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. I was very happy with the success of the project until the orders started increasing, prompting me to look for women to work with me. The "Naqsha" family grew, and it became a large team of women, and the dream of establishing a specialized embroidery store in all its forms grew.
On 14/10/2023, this dream ended when my home and project in Gaza were completely destroyed. I lost my home, my project, and everything I owned that day.
I lost my only source of income, which I used to support myself, my family, and all the women who worked with me. These are extremely difficult days we are living through now, but I still have hope to start anew, even though it may be harder after the war to provide a rental home, raw materials, and finishing materials. I look forward to starting anew. Today I narrate my story to you, hoping you can help me raise the necessary funds to buy raw materials for the project and start over. Every amount you contribute, even if small, enables me to complete a piece of embroidery, which may provide me with income to support myself and my family, and I won't need anyone. I also revive the activity of my project and continue to achieve what I aspired to before the war. I appreciate your standing by my side and helping me achieve my dream, as we all have dreams and need to support each other in achieving them. Today, you contribute to realizing my dream and making me a reason to achieve the dreams of others in the future.
اسمي ريم شعت خريجة جامعية من تخصص ادارة الاعمال باللغة الانجليزية في غزة تجاوزت الثلاثين ولم استطع الحصول على فرصة عمل نظرا للظروف الاقتصادية التي نعيشها في قطاع غزة وارتفاع معدلات البطالة. لم اعتد يوما ان اتكل على احد او ان اضع الظروف عائقا لتحقيق ما اطمح له. نظرا لشغفي بالتطريزز الفلسطيني وتخصصي بادارة الاعمال فقد قررت افتتااح مشروعي الخاص والذي اعمل من خلاله على تطريز قطع مختلفة من التطريز الفلسطيني وبيعه من خلال صفحتي التي انشاتها على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي "نقشة" للتطريز الفلسطيني. انظر الرابط.
لقد كان حلما واصبح حقيقة في 28/2/2018
في البداية قمت بالتطريز كهواية وبدعم الاصدقاء أصبحت مهنة
بدأت مشروعي الخاص من غرفتي قمت بتطريز قطع مختلفة وشحنها الى جميع دول العالم
كان قلبي يرفرف مع كل قطعه اطرزها وارسلها الي دولة جديد واشعر بالفخر عندما اتلقى عبارات الشكر والامتنان على تطريزي .
وصلت مطرزاتي الى دول كثيرة منها امريكا، وبريطانيا ،كندا ،المانيا ، استراليا ، تركيا ،مصر ،الاردن ، لبنان ، قطر ، الكويت ، الامارات، ماليزيا ،باكستان والسعودية .
كنت سعيدة جدا بنجاح المشروع حتى بدأت الطلبات تزيد مما جعلني ابحث عن سيدات للعمل معي وكبرت عائلة نقشة واصبح يتكون من فريق كبير من السيدات وكبر الحلم بتأسيس متجر مختص بالتطريز بكافة انواعه .
في 14/10/2023 انتهى هذا الحلم حيث تم تدمير
منزلي ومشروعي بالكامل في غزة .
لقد خسرت منزلي ومشروعي وكل ما املك في هذا اليوم، خسرت مصدر دخلي الوحيد الذي كنت اساعد به نفسي وعائلتي وجميع السيدات اللواتي عملن معي ،انها ايام صعبة وفوق الوصف نعايشها الان ولكن لازال لدي الامل ان ابدا من جديد مع ان الموضوع قد يكون اصعب بعد ان تنتهي الحرب من توفير منزل للايجار والمواد الخام ومواد التشطيب الا انني اتطلع للبدء من جديد. اليوم اسرد قصتي عليكم واتطلع ان تساعدوني في الحصول على المال اللازم لشراء المواد الخام للمشروع ولان استعيد حلمي وابدا من جديد. كل مبلغ تساهمون به ولو كان بسيطا استطيع من خلاله ان انجز قطعة من التطريز والتي قد تؤمن لي الدخل لاعيل نفسي وعائلتي ولا احتاج لاحد ولان استعيد نشاط مشروعي واصل به الى ما كنت اطمح له قبل الحرب.
اقدر لكم وقوفكم بجانبي ومساعدتي على تحقيق حلمي فجميعنا لدينا احلام ونحتاج ان نكون دعما لبعض لتحقيقها. فاليوم تساهمون في تحقيق حلمي وجعلي سببا في تحقيق احلام اخرين في المستقبل
