Fund My UWC Pearson College Fees

Hi there, my names Fin. I’m nearly 16 years old and I’ve been granted a wish come true. I have been offered a place at UWC Pearson college, starting in September and it is located in Victoria Canada. Now, what is UWC? You may be wondering? Well UWC stands for United World Colleges and their mission statement is to "make education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future" and to put it more simply in my own words, its a vision. A vision that I share and I believe everyone should share. Because collaboration is key in what lays ahead for us as a human race, a race full of diversity and understanding of the interconnected world we live in.  I have always dreamt of attending a UWC as there are 18 schools across the globe but never did I fully realise the commitment and attentiveness that I had to behold to go through the application process of being accepted to a school. To put it into context, around twenty thousand kids apply to study at UWC each year globally. But only two thousand places are awarded, that means statistically it is twice as hard to be admitted to UWC than Oxford University. Which blew my mind!
Nevertheless, with my acceptance to Pearson college came a generous bursary, which will cover some of the costs of attending. However, I still have a shortfall financially, to attend. So that’s where I’d love your help. I’m asking for £12,000 British pounds to pay for my 2-year learning experience and any donation big or small would not only mean the most to me but you can be sure that I will make you proud. I feel that UWC will help me on my journey to leave the world a better place than I found it, as that is my dream.
