On Saturday, November 19th, I was on my way to a charity event for work when I was cut off by an unruly driver. After cutting me off, the driver brake checked me, causing me to lose control of my Jeep and crash into the median. I feel blessed that my 3-year old was not with me at the time of the accident and that I walked away with only a couple of bruises. I was assured by family and friends that my insurance claim would support us with getting back on our feet. However, after a week of leaving voicemails and sending messages requesting a status update, Progressive has denied and closed my claim -- stating that since it was a "single vehicle accident" they won't cover the property damage. I reached out to a handful of auto accident attorneys but each one said that, since I don't have any injuries, there's nothing that they can do. So here I am asking for your help.

I am a single (working) parent and I am dependent on safe/reliable transportation to get my son to school and myself to work... I cannot be without a car. The Jeep is totaled but I have $9,554.98 left to pay off on my car loan before I can look for a new (to us) car. With the holidays and Micah's birthday approaching, I am humbly asking for financial support in lieu of gifts. Anything helps and everything is appreciated.
