(Message from Peter Ibrahim, currently in Egypt with his father.)
Hello, I never thought I would find myself in this position, but I need help.
My Dad, Essam, has always stood by me, even at times when maybe he shouldn't have and other people wouldn't, he was always there. He was there through the hardest times of my life, as well as some of the best times.
He was traveling to Egypt on vacation when, in early February, he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital in Cairo. It was discovered he suffered a severe stroke (cerebral hemorrhage) and had to undergo two critical surgeries. Since then, he has remained in the ICU in critical condition, requiring constant ongoing care.
It's been a difficult time here. Always, it's a constant struggle to cope. It's like we are always playing catch up with what's happened.
More than anything in the world, I just want to be able to talk to my father again.
He is a loving father of two, me and my sister, he always had an open heart and an open ear for anyone who needs him.
Me and my sister are hoping to transport him back to Canada so he can receive proper medical treatment, but the costs of transport are significantly higher than we are able to afford.
We are planning on using a professional medical escort company that is fully equipped but also extremely affordable, offering air ambulance services on commercial airlines. (https://globalmedservices.com/)
I feel stuck because I really want to do the best I can for my father, and I have been working tirelessly to make this happen.
We urgently need your help to pay for his medical evacuation so we can all return safely to Canada.
Any help at all would be really appreciated.
