UW Kahaani 2019-2020 Fundraiser

UW Kahaani is the University of Washington’s competitive Bollywood fusion dance team! Bollywood is an energetic and powerful dance style originating from the Indian film industry, and we combine this dance form with many other dance forms to create our unique style. Founded seven years ago, we are a relatively new team, but we continue to grow every year and perform state-wide and nationally.

Last season, we travelled to Athens, GA, placed 3rd at UGA India Night, placed 2nd at Jhoomti Shaam in Los Angeles, CA and placed 1st at Aaja Nachle in Dallas, TX. This run of good results placed us 7th in the nation and qualified us for a berth at Legends Bollywood Dance Championship where we competed amongst the best 10 Bollywood Fusion Dance teams in the nation.


We are 20 committed and talented UW students, who love to share their passion for dance. We would love to continue spreading our love for Bollywood, and this is where you come in! Traveling costs can add up, especially as a college student. Any donation is greatly appreciated, and will directly help with travel and production costs as we continue to expand our outreach.
