Hello everyone,

My name is Maura, and I am fundraising to help my mom, Jennifer, save her home!

As many close to us know, the past few years have not been kind. My mom has been struggling with disability and chronic illness, and has been forced to live through much of the pandemic alone. Steeply rising housing costs in the Bay Area, coupled with loss of supplemental employment opportunities because of COVID-19, have now left her in a financial bind. Our family home has gone into foreclosure, and may be taken from my mom within two weeks.

My mom is one of the strongest and most deserving people I know. She has dedicated her life to education and social justice, inspired her students, fought off countless medical issues, and raised children. My whole life she has put others before herself, but now she needs help. She has always dreamed of owning her own home and to see it taken from her now would be absolutely devastating.
