Forever Bailey treatment
Donation protected
Bailey, our youngest of three children, is six(6) years old and has recently been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. After two separate biopsies she has been diagnosed with glioma grade level III- "Anaplastic Astrocytoma in the Hypothalamus," which is an aggressive malignancy. The doctors have told us that due to the location of the tumor it is inoperable and that not only is the type of tumor rare for her age, but the location is as well.
On February 2, 2017, we met with our team of specialists, and unfortunately they informed us that based on their experience, similar cases had the a survival rate of approximately 2-3 years. Hopefully, the proposed treatment will prolong her life while providing
comfort, even if just for a short time.
Treatment is expected to begin within the month. We have reached out to a surgeon in Australia for a second opinion; who is known to confidently and successfully remove tumors that other neurosurgeons cannot and will not remove.
Over the last 30 days, we have observed that her motor skills have significantly declined. She is oblivious to the fact that she has a left arm and refuses to use it unless strongly encouraged. Her left eye and smile droop toward the left and her left leg has begun showing signs of regression, affecting her ability to walk normally. The doctors have stated that she will continue to digress as treatment continues.
Please help support Bailey in her fight against this aggressive, inoperable brain cancer. We will be using the funds for her necessary treatments and to enjoy the rest of our time with her. Please follow Bailey's journey on Facebook under prayforbailey or Forever Bailey.
Your prayers are greatly needed and appreciated.
Thank you and God bless.
