Support Tim's Battle Against FIP
Donation protected
Tim is an 8-month-old kitten and he is very sick. He has FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Two weeks ago, he started losing weight and became quite lethargic. He wouldn’t eat and had diarrhea. Now, he has a 104.5 fever. Less than 5 years ago, FIP was a death sentence. There was no treatment and cats declined quickly and were gone.
Today, there is treatment. It’s a medicine that is administered subcutaneously for 84 days in a row. It also involves following up with bloodwork every month, steroids for a couple of weeks, Mirataz to boost appetite, Cerenia for nausea, and Gabapentin to ease the pain. It takes dedication to treat for FIP as it’s a long-term treatment plan and it takes money. While the cost has gone down, it is still quite cost prohibitive.
We are a small rescue group and are responsible for 100+ cats. Spending $3,000+ to save one cat isn’t feasible. But Tim is only 8 months old and if he takes this course of treatment, he has a good chance of being cured and he could go on to live a good and happy life. We want to give him that chance. You want to give him that chance.
We really need your help to save Tim. Please help us do so. You can donate directly to this GoFundMe or you can donate through PayPal or mail. No matter how you donate, we really need your help. We have a 6-month road ahead of us until Timmy is cured but together we can do this. Thank you so much! ❤️
