Overview
My name is Jillian and I created this account for my boyfriend, Philip. In August of 2013, Philip was diagnosed with stage 1 testicular cancer. The cancer required a surgery (orchiectomy) and no chemotherapy. After the surgery, Philip’s scans were clear.
In May of 2015, scans revealed a large tumor in Philip’s abdomen (a reoccurrence of his testicular cancer). His cancer is now stage 2c. Philip will require twelve weeks of extensive chemotherapy in order to reduce the size of the tumor.

History
Philip was born and raised in Ohio. At the age of 18, he and his family moved to Escondido, California. Philip ran competitively throughout school. Now, at age 28,  trail running is both a hobby and passion for Philip. In January, he competed in the San Diego State 50-mile trail run. 

Goal
Philip is the most passionate and determined person I have ever met. He works extremely hard at everything he does. His life has been rocky these past few years, as he lost his father suddenly in 2013. However, Philip maintains a positive outlook towards life. His positivity and vibrant personality makes a difference in the people surrounding him. I've never met anyone like him.
My goal is to help support Philip in any way I can. I am finished with nursing school for the summer, and am living in Escondido to help care for him. 
His insurance does not cover all treatment costs and he had two costly surgeries. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!
