Hey Family and Friends! Jason has been dealing with severe shoulder pain for the last few years. He has gone to the Dr. several times and they said it was Bursitis and gave him cortizone shots. He went on to coach baseball and work out and throw with the kids, played softball and probably did more damage because the cortizone made him feel good, but he unknowingly continued to injur his shoulder. The Dr. finally did an MRI and he has a complete tear in his rotator cuff and will have surgery on June 8th. We have the lowest insurance coverage, basically catastrophe only as this is all we could afford monthly. Our out of pocket is $11,000.00. The surgery will cost about $20,000.00 but our cost is going to be $11,000.00 to Kaiser. This amount is so incredibly overwhelming. Jason is an independent salesman and makes a commission only salary so missing work days are hard. He doesn't have any sick days or time off paid. He says he will be back at work in 3 days, but we have heard that the pain of this surgery is going to be immense. However, this is the guy who went to work the day after being shot in the face in 2008 so I do know my husband will get up and do what he has to do for his family. It's not easy to ask for help, but we are asking and have been encouraged by many of you to do this.
