Western High School's solar car team - The Solar Cats - have been working towards a goal of placing 1st in the Solar Car Challenge. With four years of experience, the team feels that we much reach out towards the community to help us compete in this competition. Although our dreams fuel the inspiration for a new solar car, we are lacking in the amount of funds to make that idea become a reality. The time and effort the students put into this project is tremendous. From outreach at local middle schools and auto events, to countless hours in a hot summer garage, we put in all our time and effort for this solar car.
