Kelli's Story:
Kelli Pilar-Miller was diagnosed with AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia on June 6, 2025. As you can imagine, this news has turned her world - and the world of her family - upside down.
Kelli is the devoted mother to six beautiful children and loving wife to her husband, Luis. She began an intensive chemotherapy regimen on June 10th. The road ahead will be long, challenging, and costly - both emotionally and financially.
We're rallying together to support Kelli and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Without being able to work, Kelli will need financial assistance with paying for COBRA insurance, medical bills, travel to treatment centers, medications, and everyday expenses which are adding up quickly. Luis is doing everything he can to hold the family together, but they need our help.
If you're able to give - no matter the amount - your donation will directly support Kelli's care and her family's well-being. And if you can't give, please consider sharing this with your network of friends. Every act of kindness helps!
Thank you for standing with Kelli, Luis, and their children as they fight through this together.
With gratitude ~ Kelli's Crew
UPDATE 10/23/2025:
A note from Kelli.....
We have made it to day 23 since admission/ post transplant day +15!
Yesterday I received the news that the donor cells have taken over in my body and are beginning to heal me! Praise God!
The roller-coaster ride I have been on was much different than I could have imagined. I kept telling myself, prepare for the worst, hope for the best. But every new day brought on a new challenge so I realized, there is no preparation, just deal with whatever comes my way and know that ultimately God is in charge. He showed up every step of the way and gave me relief when I was pushed to my limit.
The scariest days were spent in ICU. But it was only 2 days of this entire journey and I came out much stronger. The hard days have been HARD but I have also surprised myself with how mentally strong I can be. We havent hit easy days quite yet, but I know they are coming!
Now we focus on healing! I have a ways to go before discharge, but at the same time, its right around the corner. I am more than ready to be back with my family and getting back to myself again.
Love to you all. And thank you for the continued prayers, the financial support, meals delivered to my people and all of the support that has shown up in many ways ❤️
UPDATE 8/26/25:
Kelli continues to go through chemo while we await a bone marrow match. Please, we urge everyone to register with the national bone marrow registry. So many people could use your help and it’s so simple! I will include another link to the site to get tested if anyone is interested ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Thank you all for your continued support
UPDATE 7/7/25:
Kelli is officially home after a month long stay in the hospital. Her second bone marrow biopsy looks great, but the fight is far from over. They are projecting she will be off work for at least a year which will become a big financial stress as she also carries her family’s health insurance. If you are able to spare anything it is greatly appreciated!
Thank you to everyone who has supported Kelli so far. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
