My good friend and an inspiration to many, Lisa Sciotto Elisio is in need of our help.
Quick Background : In 1994, as she was active with field hockey, soccer and softball, she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, at the age of 13, which metastasized to her lungs. She had five tumors removed from her lungs, as well as, an amputation of her right leg.
This never slowed her down. She stayed positive and became such an inspiration to all. She, is now, married with 2 children, ages 3 and 5 and still very active. She works as a school social worker, helping others.
Well, now we need to help her. She has had the same pair of crutches, for 15 years. She is in need of a new set, that will continue to help her stay active. Her insurance will not cover these crutches, but will cover $15,000 for a prosthetic leg, that she will not use. Her wish for these advanced, comfortable crutches should be granted and we can get it done for her.
Please help me, help her raise the $2,200.
