Dear family and friends,
There is a 3 year old boy who goes to our school, International Christian Montessori Academy of Costa Mesa, and he was diagnosed with leukemia on May 15, 2015. The boy's name is Aidyn Wong. Aidyn began our school when he was 2 years old and now he cannot go to school. Everyone misses him dearly and we hope that he gets well soon.
When we, the students, first heard the sad news about Aidyn, we were devastated that this poor little boy had to be in so much pain. He was hospitalized immediately, once taken to the doctors. A few days later, a few students went to Choc Hospital to deliver a basket full of activities, balloons, and a poster, which the whole school signed for our friend Aidyn.
In one single moment, Aidyn’s family’s lives were changed forever. Being told your child has cancer is one of the worst things a parent can hear. Like anyone who has a child, the thought of your child with a life threatening disease just takes your breath away. Unfortunately, there is no rhyme or reason for this type of cancer, it’s a "random accident of nature." "Just the luck of the draw." This would be a pretty tough pill to swallow, for any parent. Aidyn’s parents were forced to accept this news and move on to treatment immediately, the new normal for their family.
Aidyn will go through treatment for a minimum of three years. No child deserves to suffer like this or go through so much pain. We ask that you please keep Aidyn and his family in your prayers each day and God willing the chemo will work for him. As we all know, prayer is a beautiful, as well as essential, way to ask for Our Lord’s help and blessings. Even when God doesn’t answer our prayers as we’d like, He gives us the grace to cope with our problems and tragedies better in any case.
We have started this account to help Aidyn’s family with all the expenses for Aidyn, medical bills and frequent hospital stays. Please share this message and encourage others to share. Please keep him in your prayers.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass…
It’s learning to dance in the rain.
Any donation or support you can give Aidyn’s family will help them. Even with insurance, treatment for cancer creates a tremendous financial burden and his family needs all the help they can get.
Thank you for helping us raise money to support this nice family!
