Vedat Dardovski is 49 years old and was recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma, terminal brain cancer. Prior to this devastating diagnosis, Vedat, known to most as "Vito", was perfectly healthy. This extremely aggressive cancer has attacked the cognitive part of Vito's brain. He is no longer able to read or write, has problems speaking, and can no longer work or drive. In an instant, his life completely changed.

Vito was born in Macedonia, Yugoslavia, and is the youngest of four children. He was only 2 years old when his family migrated to the United States for a better life. He was the first in his family to graduate from college - something that made an impact on one of his brothers who was inspired and graduated from college shortly thereafter. Vito and his 2 brothers and sister have taken care of their mother since they lost their father 18 years ago but Vito is no longer able to do this.

Vito has spent the past 6 years working closely with the 30+ Forever Yogurt  and  recently acquired cheeburger franchises, supporting operations, marketing, and finance. Due to the fact he was a self employed subcontractor, it is devastating that he will no longer have an income or insurance benefits.

Dion Alimorong, Vito's girlfriend of 21 years, is now his caretaker, something she has embraced - "It is no problem for me to take care of him 24/7 but my heart is broken for his sadness and frustration. Everyday he is working hard to reconnect his brain, the wires and neurons, and I am just happy if he smiles. There is no telling what the future holds but rest assured, we are one, and are in this together."

From those of us who love Vito for the caring brother, son, friend, cousin, uncle, and coworker that he is, we have created this page to raise money to pay for the mounting medical expenses and in home care he requires. The world needs this wonderful person whom has brought so many people happiness and joy.
