In February 2025, the worlds of Matt and Ally were jarred when Matt was diagnosed with brain cancer at just 29 years old. Matt had been experiencing severe headaches and upon completing his outpatient MRI, he was immediately sent to the hospital due to the severity and size of multiple lesions on his brain. Thus began their journey. Since February, Matt has had to have two neurosurgeries, including his most recent to remove half of his skull. Matt will now require a third surgery to place a prosthetic within the next year. This has left Matt unable to work.

As if the cancer diagnosis wasn’t enough, Matt and Ally were supposed to be married in June of 2025. Upon receiving this intimidating diagnosis, they rescheduled and ultimately postponed their wedding to focus on Matt’s health. This should be the happiest time of their life, and they should be celebrating a beautiful, long life ahead of them. Instead, they’re faced with a long, uncertain road as they battle Matt’s brain cancer.
