As many of you know, Jerry has been sick and on life support for a few weeks. After eighteen long days of fighting, his body was tired and couldn't fight anymore. Jerry retired from the Sheriff Dept in New Mexico and uprooted his life to be closer to his granddaughter. Their relationship was extraordinary and will be cherished forever. The projects and fun times they had will be held close forever. Though he spent many years in North Carolina, this was never home. He wished to be laid to rest in New Mexico. My mom has lost the love of her life, which is a pain I can't even fathom. While I can't take any of this pain away from her, I am doing everything possible to help. I am trying to raise some funds to help with the funeral arrangements. With this being so unexpected, none of us were prepared for this, though I don't think you ever really can be. This is one of the ways I'm trying to relieve some of my mom's stress during this heartbreaking time of her life. We appreciate any help, even if it's just a share. Jerry gained his angel wings, knowing how loved he was and how much he impacted many people's lives. I want this last opportunity to lay him to rest peacefully.
