On January 9th, 2016, two young boys fell through some ice on a pond in Brockton, MA.  Fortunately, both boys were rescued and the younger boy was treated and released from the hospital.  The older boy, CJ, remains in a Boston hospital.  Since that day, his mother has been by his side and has not been to work.  She is a hardworking woman who has always supported her family by working two jobs.  Right now, CJ greatly needs her loving support and continued presence by his bedside. 

Despite its size, Brockton is a close knit community and its members have shown how they stick together during difficult times. Over the last two weeks, many people have expressed care and concern for CJ.  Heartfelt messages and prayers, words of encouragement, and genuine concern have come in from all over the city.  As CJ's teachers, our hearts are broken that this incident has happened and his absence is felt every day.  He is popular and well liked by students and staff alike.  We miss him and his million dollar smile.

Please consider donating to CJ's gofundme account.  As mothers, it is heartwrenching to imagine what CJ's mom is going through right now.  It is our hope that this fundraiser will help alleviate some financial worries so that she can remain by CJ's side for as long as he needs.  Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to CJ's mom.
