Our dearly beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt Anuska C. Nicketa passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, at her Anchorage residence. She had a special title, "Glummie," to her niece Rachel’s children and grandchildren. She was the last living sibling and the only survivor for years out of four sisters and one brother. She was closest to her eldest sibling, the late Nellie C. Nukwak.

We realize it's commercial & subsistence fishing season, but we are trying this out for those who cannot afford the long-distance travel to our village; fundraising to get her family to her funeral in Manokotak. We will use the funds to cover the costs of the plane fares to lay our mother to rest in her hometown in Manokotak. We will keep you updated on the plans and progress and announce the funeral date once things are set in stone.
