Hi, my name is Ryan Clifton and on 4/16/2024 I was in a bad freak motorcycle accident. I hit some gravel and slid with my motorcycle since I was stuck under the bike. I was sent to Our Lady of the Lakes and was told I had fractured my scapula. The last thing I remember was being told that I was having surgery to fix it, and it would only be two hours long. Fast forward to 4/18/2024 I wake up to all of my loved ones in my room with a tube down my throat. While I was asleep for two days I had gone through a ten hour surgery. I had split one of my arteries and was bleeding out. I lost 16 units of blood through my surgery which is equivalent to one and a half bodies. My survival rate was close to zero due to the doctors saying that my injuries are typically fatal. God wasn't done with me yet though. I beat the odds, survived my surgery, and was awake and talking in less than 36 hours. I have a long road of recovery and therapy ahead of me since through my wreck I tore all of my nerves in my right arm, which is my dominant arm, and through therapy I hope to gain mobility in my arm. Although I may not have my right arm I have my life, and I am forever grateful for that. Since I will be out for several months of work I am needing help with some medical and monthly bills. Anything and everything is appreciated and I thank everyone who has been by my side and praying for me. Everyones prayers and support are part of the reason I am here to tell my story.
