Hi, my name is Riccardo. Me and my fiancé, Carmen, are the proud owner of a wonderful puppy named Lucky. Unfortunately, last week at the park, Lucky ate the carcass of a dead bird and contracted a terrible intestinal infection that spread to his lungs. Thank God, we were able to save him and Lucky is currently under sever treatment, but the medical expenses destroyed our already delicate finances. The dog insurance couldn’t do anything since it was waiting for approval and not active yet (we only had Lucky since 2 months).

We are making this fundraiser to be able to finance at least part of the 9000 dollars we had to pay to save his life.

-We initially spent 1000$ at the first clinic we went for an abdome X-ray, blood tests and anti nausea medications but we later discovered the diagnosis was not entirely correct.

-The same night we had to rush to the Emergency Room because he couldn’t stop vomiting and gagging. Lucky was taken in for two nights which costed around 3000 each.

-We also had to spend 2k for a further abdominal scan and a chest x-ray which finally showed he also had pneumonia

Next week we’ll have to get more x-rays and treatments. We are honestly scared because we don’t know how much all of this is gonna cost.

It feels wrong that to save the life of a delicate animal we have to be put on our knees, but that’s the reality.
