Miracle for Mason

I come to you with a heavy heart for the most beautiful family, Missie and Marty Durapau and their beautiful children. To know their youngest son Mason, is to know love. His smile, his heart, his love for the Lord is unmatched at his age. His mother Missie, is my best friend and is the most giving, selfless, loving and beautiful woman I know. Her husband Marty will drop everything to help others, he’s always smiling and always sees the best in people. This whole family gives their time and their heart to those they know.

On Easter Sunday, March 31, their 14 year old son Mason was severely injured in a golf cart accident. He was air lifted to Children’s Hospital with brain trauma. After getting to the hospital, they were told the injuries were much more severe than they thought. He had to undergo a life saving brain surgery to remove the blood and pressure on the brain. After surviving this surgery, he was placed in PICU in critical care and has been there since. They were told that the brain damage suffered from the brain bleed, the pressure on the brain stem, and the stroke he had prior to the surgery is irreversible. He is unresponsive, not breathing on his own and not making any purposeful movements.

Even with all the medical information, we are still believing in a MIRACLE! We need a miracle!!!! We will not give up hope or loose faith. Our God is a big God and no matter the medical reports, ONLY GOD has the final say. Let’s all continue to join together in prayer for the miracle to happen! Flood Facebook with this post for prayer!

During this time, family and friends have reached out to me asking what they could do to help them. I decided to make this GoFundMe account, so that people can help out not only in prayer but financially as well. Masons mother Missie, cannot work at this time due to being at masons bedside 24/7. They are way to humble to ask for help financially, but I feel like with no work and medical expenses and such a large family, any contribution would be such a blessing to the family during this extremely long road they have ahead of them. Plus, I firmly believe that God blesses those who give, so I believe your blessing to them will be a blessing to you.
